A QR code is the fastest way to turn the offline world — packaging, flyers, a shop window, an event booth — into Instagram followers. Instagram has a built-in QR, but a trackable QR you control is far more useful. Here's how to make one.
Option A: Instagram's built-in QR
In the app: Profile → menu (☰) → QR code. It opens your profile when scanned. Simple, but you can't track scans, brand it, or repoint it.
Option B: a trackable QR (recommended)
Make a QR to your profile URL — or better, to your link-in-bio page so one code leads to all your content and offers:
- Copy your profile link (
instagram.com/yourhandle) or your lynkily link in bio. - Create a short link for it, then generate a QR with your logo and colors.
- Download and add it to packaging, flyers, or your booth.
Why trackable wins
- See how many followers each placement drives (scan analytics by source).
- Repoint anytime — send the code to a campaign this week, your profile next.
- Brand it so it looks like you, not a generic black square.
Pair it with a strong link-in-bio so scanners land somewhere that converts.
