Pasting a raw URL into a social post often leaves it not clickable (looking at you, Instagram captions) or just ugly. Here's how to make a clean, clickable link for each platform — and the one-link trick that works everywhere.
Why links aren't clickable
Some platforms (like Instagram feed captions and TikTok captions) don't turn URLs into tappable links. Others allow one link only in specific places (bio, Story sticker). The fix is a short, memorable link plus a link-in-bio page for the places that allow just one.
Step 1: Shorten and brand the link
Turn your long URL into a short, clean one in lynkily — easier to type, on-brand, and trackable so you can see what works.
Step 2: Where each platform lets you put a link
- Instagram — the bio link, and the link sticker in Stories. Captions aren't clickable, so point people to your bio.
- TikTok — the bio link (and link in a video's caption once eligible).
- Facebook / LinkedIn / X — links in posts are clickable; a short branded link still looks cleaner and is trackable.
- YouTube — description links are clickable; pin your most important one.
Step 3: One link for all of them
The simplest fix for "I only get one link" is a link-in-bio page: one short link that opens a page holding all your links, offers and socials. Put it in every bio and you never have to choose. See the full link-in-bio guide.
